We were honored to partner with some incredible women in this space during Black Maternal Health Week in hopes of bringing Conversations That Matter about Black pregnancy to the forefront.
We are on a mission to improve the health and quality of life for Black mothers, babies, and those who love them and our goal is to partner with you and your loved ones, friends, and family on this pregnancy journey.
If you missed any of the programs, you can find all the replays here and follow us on Instagram for more community, conversations, and upcoming events.
Representation in Research
We sat down with Dr. Lase Ajayi of Scripps PowerMom to discuss the importance of sharing our voices through research. We have the power to inform healthcare solutions that best fit our needs. You can watch the full conversation here.
Maternal Mental Health
We went live with doula and maternal mental health specialist Kelli Blinn and she not only shed some light on this important topic but also shared some great resources. Catch the replay here and read Kelli’s guest blog post on MeetMae.com.
Pelvic Floor 101
Jemila Medley of Mommas in Motion broke it all the way down for us. Who knew we might be doing those Kegels wrong!? Watch the replay here – we all learned a lot and had some fun in the process.
Technically Speaking
We teamed up with three other Black female tech Founders and CEOs to discuss how technology is shifting the women’s maternal health landscape. This conversation was informative, inspirational and so much fun. The replay is definitely worth a watch.
Laboring With Hope
If you weren’t able to join us for the documentary screening of Laboring with Hope, please take a moment to watch this powerful conversation about the participant’s deeply personal connection to the film, what they see as the biggest challenges we face in our maternal healthcare, and the work they are doing to combat this crisis. You can watch it here and please share and help us continue to amplify this important work!
A Doula’s Role
If you missed the conversation between doula Jacquelyn Clemmons and her client, Katoriae, you’re missing out. Check out the replay to see how they are preparing for birth and beyond, (and creating a beautiful friendship along the way.)
